Message from St. John’s Metropolitan Community Church

Beloved In Christ,

             St. John’s Metropolitan Community Church!  (St. John’s MCC) is a warm and diverse Christian community of members, regular attenders and friends who are committed to embodying message of God’s unconditional love and the teachings of Jesus Christ in the church, in our community and in the world!  We are truly a church committed to doing “whatever it takes” to become that “city of a hill” that cannot be hidden!
            As Disciples and followers of Jesus Christ, we firmly believe that the core of our mission and ministry as a community of faith is rooted in the Great Commission:  “Go therefore into all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Creator, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19-20).  Simply put, we affirm and believe that God has called us to “find them, bring them in, grow them up and send them out” and that we are to accomplish this by “Proclaiming Christ, Building Community and Transforming Lives” . . . and all of it in the name of Jesus Christ!  How blessed we are to share this ministry with you for, without question, you are God’s reminder to us of the ministry which has been entrusted to us and the vast harvest that has yet to be reaped.
            On behalf of the members of St. John’s MCC, it is our fervent desire to both serve and be of service to God by ministering to and with you.  Our website is one of the many vehicles through which we are able to accomplish this task.  I prayer that you will find our website informative, inviting and inspiring!  If there is anything that we can do to make your journey with us through our website more efficient and effective, please let us know.  We have a wonderful dedicated team of saints who are committed to make your experience on our website truly one to remember and share with others!!
            In every way, my hope and prayer is that you will always be open to and allow the Spirit of God to speak to your heart and that the warmth, welcome and atmosphere of love and care that you encounter through this community of faith will restore, refresh and renew your spirit as we seek to glorify God “in spirit and in truth.”
