A jobless man was charged with 200 counts of incest with his niece, beginning when she was aged just five years old.
He is expected to be charged with another 364 counts on Friday (today), bringing the total to 564.
The incident happened in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and the man is being tried in the Ampang Sessions Court.
It took two hours for the 200 charges to be read out in court before judge Mohamad Kamil Nizam, before a break had to be called for lunch and to allow for Friday prayers.
The accused, who cannot be named in order to protect the identity of the victim, who is now aged 14, was brought to court about 10.45am. Kamil called for a break at 12.45pm.
The court will continue hearing the other charges at 2.30pm.
