Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State has lost his cousin, Isyaku Sulaiman. He was aged 84.
A statement by the Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Abdu Labaran, revealed that Sulaiman, who doubled as the Madawaki and Village Head of Masari in Kafur Local government Area of the state, died on Saturday.
The statement added, “The deceased, who was the Madawaki and Village Head of Masari in Kafur Local Government Area, was survived by many children and great children.
“Among his children is Sani Isyaku Masari, a Permanent Secretary in the civil service of Katsina State.
“He was buried yesterday (Saturday) in accordance with the Islamic rites in Masari town and witnessed by many notable Nigerians.”
Dignitaries, including Dangaladiman Katsina and District Head of Kafur, Rabe AbdulLahi; Galadiman Katsina and District Head of Malumfashi, Justice Mamman Nasir (rtd); Speaker of the Katsina State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Yahaya Kusada; and the Cigarin Katsina, Aminu Mamman Dee, have paid condolence visits to the governor over the incident.
