Wilfred Ndidi was sent off for the second time in the Premier League this season, but his club Leicester City still won 2-0 at Brighton.
Ndidi was first sent off on his 21st birthday in December when Crystal Palace won 3-0 at the King Power Stadium.
On Saturday, he received his second booking in the 87th minute after he was first cautioned in the 24th minute.
He was devastated as he left the pitch for an early shower.
Asked whether Ndidi’s sending off was fair, Leicester manager Claude Puel said, “I don’t understand why he was sent off because when I watched the reply it wasn’t a foul. He touched the ball and it changed direction.
“I hope it can be watched by the commissioner again because he is a crucial player for us.”
