The Chief Executive Officer of Children Living with Cancer, Dr. Nneka Nwobi, has called for more support for parents whose children are battling cancer.
Nwobi noted that many parents of children suffering from the disease lost their jobs in a bid to give them more attention.
The expert spoke during a press conference organised by One Hallelujah, an initiative of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God Worldwide, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, which is dedicated to promoting young talents in the church and impacting communities.
The Director of the One Hallelujah record label, Mr. Segun Arogunmaya, said the initiative focused on cancer and autism because children suffering from the conditions were mostly neglected.
Nwogu added that many charities were not interested in helping children suffering from cancer because the cost of treating just one child with cancer could rescue hundreds of children suffering from malnutrition and diarrhoea.
