Barely weeks after the duo of Kwara State-born businesswoman, Bola Shagaya, and a former governor of Cross River State, Donald Duke, hosted elaborate weddings for their children, they are set to host yet another.
Many will recall that last March, Bola Shagaya’s son, Seun, got married to Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo’s daughter, Damilola. Last weekend, the wedding festivities for another of her sons, Kabir, kicked off in Abuja. He married Amina Buba and the concluding part of the wedding held yesterday at Landmark Event Centre, Lekki, Lagos.
Also, still basking in the euphoria of his daughter, Xerona’s wedding to Derin Phillips, family and friends trooped to Calabar to witness yet another wedding in Duke’s household. His second daughter, Nela, and her fiancé, Asuquo Ekpeyong, held their traditional wedding yesterday. A colourful occasion, it was a gathering of the crème de la crème. The groom is the current Commissioner for Finance in Cross River State.
