The Catholic bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Rev. Paulinus Ezeokafor, has advised Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano, to reduce the cost of governance in his second term in office.
The cleric stated this in his congratulatory message to the governor at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cathedral, Awka, during a media briefing.
Obiano, who was sworn in for a second term on March 17, was accused of flamboyance and having too many aides in his first tenure.
The Catholic bishop, while congratulating the governor, urged him to do away with frivolities as well as reduce the cost of governance.
Noting that Obiano had the best opportunity now to write his name in gold, Ezeokafor said the time had come for the governor to prove his critics wrong.
